Mia Dekeersmaeker
For more than 10 years, Mia Dekeersmaeker has been active as a freelance reporter for a variety of magazines in Belgium, The Netherlands and Germany. Her publications cover a wide range of disciplines from tourism, culture, design and architecture to lifestyle, jewellery, watches, business, archaeology and technology. She maintains four art calendars, in Belgium and abroad.
Europe is her main work area. The evolutions within the European Union and the NATO fascinate her and she can talk about them on and on. Preferably not in common ways but from a vantage point that might not always be that evident, such as direct contact with local residents. At this moment she is writing a novel - situated in Europe - which will appear this year at the international Frankfurt Book Fair. Her second book is already taking shape as well, which hopefully will be published in 2009.
